Viewings & Office re-opening

15th May 2020

Following the recent announcement from our government, we are pleased to confirm that with immediate effect we are able to conduct viewings again.  To ensure that we adhere to government guidelines, all viewings will be carried out with the approval from our vendors/tenants and subject to our strict safety policy. These include but are not limited to;

  • Only one member of our team will arrive to carry out the viewing.

  • We will permit only two people to view a property at a time.

  • The member our team will enter the property before the viewing to ensure that all internal doors are left open.

  • The team member from Dybles will carry out a safety briefing with the viewers prior to entering the property.

  • We will ask the vendor/tenant to leave the property while the viewing is carried out.

  • We will advise that all hands are sanitised before entering the property.

  • When viewing the property, all parties must keep a minimum of 2 meters apart from each other.

  • We will advise the viewers to not touch anything in the property.

  • Any doors that are closed but need to be opened will be done so by the team member from Dybles.

  • We will advise that all hands are sanitised again when leaving the property.

  • Any conversations about the viewing will be conducted outside of the property, again at a minimum of 2 meters apart, with the intention of spending as minimal time in the property as possible.

  • We will advise that anyone viewing a property with Dybles should bring hand sanitiser and, if the property deems to be of size where keeping a distance of 2 meters apart will be difficult, to also bring a facemask.

  • Failure to adhere to the minimum safety procedure may result in an abortive viewing.

Although the lockdown measures have been relaxed in order to allow us to return to work, we are conscious that COVID-19 is still very much a threat and the safety of our team, customers and the public is of the upmost importance to us.  Because of this, we have decided that we are going to re-open our office on Monday 18 May, initially with reduced hours of 10am to 4pm.  The office will be manned with limited staff to ensure we are able to work safely and within government guidelines.  Outside of these hours, our team will be working from home and will still be contactable within business hours.

Although some team members will be working in the office as from the 18th May, we will have the office doors closed to the public with access only available strictly by appointment.  If an appointment is made to come and visit the office, we will only be allowing one person into the office at a time.

We appreciate the government has opened the doors to allow us to work again, but we don’t see this as a license to start operating as normal.  We feel that the steps we are taking will help us continue to find the right balance between being able to continue to serve our Winchester community the best we can, while being able to maintain the safety of our team and all around us.

Stay safe and all the best.

We are staying at home, but our work continues.

24th March 2020

Following the latest government announcement, I would like to confirm that all the team at Dybles will be working from home with immediate effect and our office will be temporarily closed from Tuesday 24th March until further notice.

We are fortunate enough to have systems that allow us to work from home remotely.  We have full access to our software and emails, so we can continue to offer the same high levels of service you have come to expect from Dybles, with minimal disruption to our landlords, vendors, tenants and purchasers.

If you would like to get in contact with the team during this time, the most efficient way will be to email one of the following addresses and one of the team will respond either via email or with a phone call.

Due to the nature of our business, the restrictions in place will mean that there are some tasks that we will not be able to carry out until government advice changes.  These are detailed below.

  • All physical viewings and valuations are postponed until further notice.  We will be able to accommodate video appointments on certain properties.

  • Routine property inspections are postponed until further notice.

  • Any scheduled property maintenance/repairs planned in the next three weeks will be rescheduled until further notice.

  • Property maintenance issues that are not deemed an emergency will not be dealt with until further notice.

These are unprecedented times for all of us and Covid-19 has thrown challenges at us that we would have never dreamed of a matter of months’ ago, but we must listen to the governments advice and stay home. The team at Dybles are very proud to provide a service for the people of Winchester; the community spirit in this city is what makes it such a special place to live. We must now all play our part to keep ourselves, our loved ones and the wider community safe.

Tenant information

This is a worrying time for all, the reassuring thing for tenants is that the government is supposedly putting in measures to protect tenants that are affected by COVID-19 which includes suspending evictions. However, at this stage, we do not know any more than you do.
