What does the Stamp Duty Cut extension mean for you?

Today the Chancellor announced an extension to the Stamp Duty Cut. What does this mean for you?

If you complete your purchase before the end of June - No Stamp Duty up to £500,000

If you complete your purchase before the end of September - No Stamp Duty up to £250,000

Usual levels resume from October - No Stamp Duty up to £125,000


Until the end of June nobody will pay Stamp Duty up to £500,000. After that , the nil rate band will still be double its normal level, £250,000, and we will only return to the normal level from October
